A Comprehensive, Trauma-Informed Methodology for Healing and Formation

The Sacred Release Framework™

The SACRED Release Framework is Dr. Morrison’s integrative healing methodology, developed through clinical practice, counselor education, theological reflection, and lived experience. Its foundation is gospel-rooted and grounded in peer-reviewed trauma scholarship and relational systems theory.

Most healing frameworks address the wound. The SACRED Release Framework goes further by tracing pain to its origin, naming the verdict that was spoken over you and that you have been carrying, and moving through healing into the renewal of the mind. Not conform to what is familiar. Transformed by what is true.

The SACRED Release Framework is grounded in evidence-based theory and peer-reviewed scholarship. It is an educational and formational framework—not psychotherapy, diagnosis, or a substitute for clinical treatment. Where clinical care is needed, the framework is designed to complement, not replace, the work of licensed professionals.

The verdict spoken over you is not the final word.

S · A · C · R · E · D · RELEASE

The SACRED Release Framework is not a fixed sequence but a living rhythm—one that allows individuals to move at their own pace, revisit each movement as needed, and continue growing as healing unfolds.

The Six Core Movements of the SACRED Release Framework

S — Safety and Surrender

Creating the conditions where healing can begin. Surrender is not defeat, rather, it is the courageous act of releasing control and becoming open to the healing process.

A — Acknowledging Truth

Naming what happened with clarity and without minimization because unnamed wounds cannot heal.

C — Compassion and Confession

Holding pain with care while creating space for honest reckoning. Compassion and accountability are companions, not opponents.

R — Reframe

Reconstructing meaning around suffering without spiritual bypassing or forced resolution.
Exploring whether pain has been the only narrator and whether there is something truer available.

E — Empowerment

Restoring agency, voice, and the capacity to author one’s own story. Reclaiming healthy boundaries, personal responsibility, time, energy, and inner life.

D — Discernment

Identifying wise and sustainable next steps that honor both truth and calling. Learning to hear God’s voice with greater clarity and moving forward with wisdom, humility, and courage.

+ RELEASE

Releasing survival patterns, generational cycles, and what no longer serves in order to create space for wholeness, integration, and becoming.

Integrated Tool: The PSFNP Model

Pray — Stop — Feel It — Name It — Pray Again. A grounding and emotional regulation practice integrating nervous system awareness with spiritual attentiveness. Adaptable across faith-based and professional settings.

The PSFNP Model is designed to move beyond the page; it is practiced in Sacred Healing Gatherings, integrated into speaking, training, and consultation, and adapted for churches, counseling, education, healthcare, and organizational settings.
